JR would have confronted David right there in PMA if not for Audrey’s sound advice to refrain from making a scene in front of all the graduates and his senior officers. As such, he waits until he and his family has returned to Manila to discover the rest of Marlene’s story about how she met David. On the other hand, David is also coming to terms with the fact that JR seems to be his son with Marlene. When he dwelled on this subject with Elizabeth, however, the latter discourages him from believing Marlene’s claims before. But just when David is convinced not to think about the whole thing anymore, JR comes to tell him that Marlene has been imprisoned for a year because of him. This comes as a complete surprise to David since he really has no idea on the schemes Elizabeth has been doing all this time.
