GERALD/JR IKAW NA LANG ANG NATITIRANG SANE AT HINDI NAGBABAGO SA MGA CHARACTERS, COOL, CALM, COLLECTED, HONORABLE, ETC. PUWEDE BA FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE TAKE THE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE I.E. ALWAYS SAVING AUDREY'S LIFE AND TO HELL WITH DAVE NO DAHIL MAKASARILI ITO.

Tumpak ikaw diyan pero edin ang writers so ride na lang kasi kong wala talaga si Gerald & Kim basura and TD.
Keep your cool I know in the end the people behind the story will have no choice "Jr & Audrey " live happily ever after; but too short for us to savor the sweetness & kilig factor.
Kim & Gerald should have Kris Aquino/Boy Abunda as their managers,lintik lang nila esp. Kris bongga and fighter.

What an insult to men, women and officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Dave being an officer and gentleman, A PMA graduate acting like a corrupt and a lying character.

In fairness to the writers they have succeeded in putting out the character role of JR to choose the high moral ground as befits a PMA graduate and an Air Force Officer; in the end the good will triumph and the story will have justified itself despite all the angst and agonies of the major characters of Kim and Gerald.

TD is a story of the enobling love of family; love of country; love of a man and a woman ; love of God; love of doing the right thing versus greed or extreme love of money, power and fame; obsessive passion or extreme love of self that led people to vengeful killings, lies and deception.

The black and white natures are delineated that makes the viewer totally side with the good ones or the pseudo good or the grays like Marlene, Lola Gets and Greta and even justify the evil in Ramon, Dave, Stan as the product of their upbringing.

What is good is that the writers have projected through JR the truth that one can rise above one's own upbringing and environment (squatter Tondo, etc; indulgent mother) by sheer discipline, hard work and 'sticktoitiveness" to what is good and right. One thing really good too is that Gerald was able to let his character shine very well with such subdued and commendable acting...his belief that Audrey is married to his own twin and therefore to his values 'untouchable' bespeaks of a self-sacrificing nature that is true of heroes.

So, Gerald (the longsuffering, self-sacrificing hero, Kim (the damsel in distress and also self-sacrificing heroine) and Dave (who in fairness acted well as a weakling, self-absorbed, clingy person) are to be commended along with the directors, the veteran and really rated co-actors in making us viewers feel the elation, the deep angst, the fear, the violent hatred, in other words the emotions that make this teleserye worth the time we spend on it.

Bravo! As a Kim and Gerald fan, I guess I have also matured. I have learned to understand that Kim and Gerald are now among the greats as far as acting is concerned and are not just there to titillate me with their on and offcam romance but to make me experience the virtues of the characters they portray vis a vis the story that they aim to tell ably through their high-caliber acting in a top rated teleserye like Tayong Dalawa.

Whatever isthe motives of the ABS admin and the writers, there's one thing i would like to say, TD is a success because of KIMERALD. Acting wise, Gerald is very good, he's getting there to the top slowly as well as Kim, both of them are fantastic. I wish one day they will have a movie with a challenging role. Only the two of them without Jake please. They are like Vilma Santos and Christopher de Leon a good chemistry to watch.

anonymous 8:46, you did a very good elocution of the TD story and characters, sounds like you are from the management of ABS-CBN. Nevertheless, you have a point but to further extend the suffering of JR's character is too much to bear in reality. He could have opted to be assigned somewhere else instead of always having the pain of seeing his brother and love one together. That is out of human context. Dave's character is common, so is Audreys' and the lot. A soldier with the calibre of JR need not be a martyr, he could have moved on so the story would have a better moral value and message to the public. I don't watch TD now, so does my household, but I always keep in touch through this website. The story is good in the beginning but too much suffering and showing the triumph of evil over good makes the young generation think about their own convictions. Kaya maraming corrupt sa atin dahil sa belief that they can always get away with it.

Whatever, this is a piece that gave Gerald Anderson the venue to show his acting abilities to the max.

i don't know what is the motive of dave in asking jr to be audry's bodyguard. i don't even think that his hatred and disgust for jr will just fly out the window overnight... can't they even suspect that whoever planted that bomb just aimed to terrorize but not to kill... and is it really that easy to enter the school grounds undetected.. why does it seem that dave is all over the place any hour of the day, does he have anything better to do in camp, he's supposed to be an army officer, why no police visibility in a purely civilian operation (bomb scene), why is the army (dave's unit) always present??in the city?

it is only in this series where situations contrary to human nature is very evident and i find sooo very incredible . like when dave requested jr to be his wife's bodyguard? knowing very well that jr is madly in love with audrey..when jr rescued audrey from a ticklin bomb and not a single word spoken..

Anonymous 4:54 p.m., no am not from ABS management. Like you I have done a lot of critical pieces here against the ill treatment of Kim and Gerald's characters and the overexposure of JC's character in terms of airtime.

In fairness and in terms of its entertainment value, I put TD up up there. This is the only other teleserye I watch outside of May Bukas Pa.

Despite TD's 'unbelievable' twists and turns that sometimes stretch the limits of normal credibility, I am still entertained by the superb acting of the cast; the hope for a better tomorrow of our fave Kim and Gerald unfolding and the possibilities of the characters turning gray from extreme black with scenes such as Ramon, Lola Gets, Marlene, Greta turning to God in their moments of distress.

There is some level of intelligence that I can identify with in the script - in the street language of Lola Gets and Marlene; the articulateness of Hunyango and even in the madness of Ingrid.

I see how the newbie actors-Kim, Gerald and Jake are given this great opportunity to shine pitted against the award winning vets - Gina P., Cherry Pie P.,Alex de Rossi, Agot Isidro, Coco M; Helen G. Jodi S. etc.

I can understand why it is up there even being #1 in Megamanila per AGB Nielsen - a regular turf of the other network.

There is a strange genius to the meshing of the characters that if I will only focus on the ongoing physical and spiritual warfare of good vs. evil...I find that I can really enjoy the story confident that the good in the end will triumph--that JR will get his great love Audrey; that Ramon and his ilk - Hunyango and co. will be imprisoned; Ingrid if she loses her mind will be institutionalized taken cared of by son Dave and her father who triggered Ingrid's disorder turns over a new leaf...this is my hope.

Meanwhile I will continue to follow the story and spend 30 minutes of my afternoon away from my chores, happy that my fave Kim and Gerald are riding high despite. Go Kim, go Gerald!
